ummm. the what? how about at least a little effort at professionalism here. there is a lot of kooky slang in the world of kiteboarding, lets at least try to promote pro terminology on a website like this.

    parts of the bar:

    1. control bar - nice
    2. power depower system - ok, but trim system, trim adjustment, maybe even power adjustment is more accurate.
    3. chicken loop - weird slang. harness loop makes a lot more sense
    4. what?? why would anyone call anything that? extra weird and kooky. there is no reason to have a specific name for the part of the harness loop that clips or locks the loop to the harness bar. if you absolutely must have a name for this piece of the harness loop, the clip, pin, keeper, or retainer are fine nouns to choose.

everything else seams pretty normal, although most of us refer to the "safety leash" less ambiguously as the kite leash,
and the "secondary" quick release simply as a quick release

and we make sure to keep the quick release side of the kite leash attached to our harnesses, and not to the control bar, as it appears to be in the above pic.

as for "spreader bar", not really sure why we dont call it the harness bar, but i realize that term is deeply rooted in dakine windsurfing history

not hatin', just updatin'. kiting is a sick sport, so lets keep it pro people.
