For those who have not heard, famous kiter Dimitri Maramenides, along with co-founder Chris Cousins, have launched Eclipse Kites.

Eclipse was built from the ground up with one goal: “Focus on the riders.”

When we started Eclipse we were determined to make the most high-performing, quality product on the market. We are happy to see the positive results from our hard work. Recently we finished a very successful demo tour in Florida — the riders would not let go of our kites. Dimitri then finished second in the Jupiter kite competition. This spring we have more demos planned on the West Coast and in the Northeast; send us an e-mail if you want us to show up at your local beach.

Additionally, we are happy to announce the arrival of two new members to the Eclipse family: Flash Austin and Tim Wallace.

Flash Austin brings our team a wealth of experience and knowledge. Flash is located in Maui, which provides him with a consistent variety of conditions. As an experience tester, Flash will test our equipment in the most extreme conditions imaginable. Flash most recently worked with Windwing and had an active role in the development of several kites.

Tim Wallace is an up-and-coming rider located in Santa Cruz, California. Tim is a big-wave specialist and is helping us test and develop wave-specific kites like the Eclipse Nano.

At Eclipse we only believe in working with the most talented professionals in the industry. It's our goal to build a world-class team to help us continue to design and build the most high-quality product available for years to come. We focus our R&D around the demands of both pro and average riders, which enables us to design products that will hold up to the demands on both ends of the spectrum.
