The following is a message from a promoter for the Kiteboard Pro World Tour about the advances the event has made this year:

“Dear Partners,

To secure and guarantee the success of the tour events, the Kiteboard Pro World Tour (KPWT) team has once again this year built partnerships with professional sport events organizers around the world. New and highly skilled collaborators will join the team to improve not only the events, but also the organizational aspects.

There are three disciplines for the 2008 World ranking points:

• Waves
• Freestyle
• Course Racing

The 2008 riders member committee includes Abel lago (SP), Kristin Boese (Ger), Antoine Auriol (FR). They are working on the new points systems, rule book, events requirements, etc.

The New KPWT website will be updated at the end of February!

Schedule 2008:

• April 28th through May 4th - St Gilles Croix de Vie, France
• June 19th through June 25th - Paros, Greece
• June 30th through July 6th - Como, Italy
• July 8th through July 15th - Istanbul or Cesme, Turkey
• July 17th through July 27th - Santa Cruz, Portugal
• August 9th through August 16th - Essaouira, Morocco
• October 25th through November 2nd - Cumbuco, Brazil
• November 7th through November 16th - Noumea, New Caledonia

This year a new team is joining the company, including an event manager, graphic designer, web designer and sponsorship manager.
