In April, French snowkiter Jerome Josserand will begin filming a documentary in the Kamchatka Peninsula, an area of the Russian Far East that’s known for its primal weather conditions and vast landscapes. Among his goals for the project, Josserand intends to beat his own world record for highest flight with a snowkite by performing a flight more than 600 meters high. He also wants to climb more than 2,000 meters with his kite — from the edge of the sea to the summit of one of Kamchatka’s approximately 200 volcanoes. If this teaser is any indication, Josserand’s documentary will be epic in every sense of the word. For more on the documentary, check out kamchatka.filmit.si.
