In regards to leaving Slingshot after ten years, Wilson said, “My partnership with Slingshot Sports over the past 10 years has been one that has combined amazing foresight, understanding and a great working relationship.     I had a great pleasure and opportunity of spending a week with Ben on the water. I can easily say that apart from being an amazing surfer and a rider, Ben is first of all a great human being (something to do with being Aussie…?). He is a phenomenal teacher and a great companion. He is also an incredibly focused and determined professional athlete, something rarely seen these days. A man with a vision. On top of it Ben is surrounded by great teammates. I think Slinghshot scored big with Ben. Now we are all waiting for his next move!
